Remote Control Room Operator - LM6000 Gas Turbine

Job Summary:

The Remote-Control Room Operator will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the LM6000 gas turbine power plant from the remote-control room. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant, responding to alarms and emergencies, and maintaining communication with field personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control the operations of the LM6000 gas turbine and auxiliary systems from the control room.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, malfunctions, and other anomalies by assessing the situation and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate logs of operational activities, incidents, and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with field operators, maintenance personnel, and management to coordinate activities and resolve operational issues.
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues related to the gas turbine and other plant systems.
  • Participate in the start-up and shutdown procedures of the gas turbine and associated systems in accordance with plant protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety within the control room and the plant.
  • Provide training and support to new operators and assist in the development of operational procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in power plant operations, particularly with gas turbines (LM6000 experience is highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding of power plant systems, electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of computer-based control systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring control systems.
  • Capability to respond to alarms and operate control systems swiftly and accurately.

SGT-400 Gas Turbine Mechanical Field Service and Operation Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SGT-400 Gas Turbine Mechanical Field Service and Operation Support Engineer to provide expert field service, technical support, and operational assistance for SGT-400 gas turbine systems. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of gas turbine installations while collaborating closely with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Service Support: Perform installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of SGT-400 gas turbines and auxiliary systems. Conduct on-site troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve mechanical issues and optimize turbine performance. Lead repair activities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Operational Support: Assist in monitoring turbine operations and performance metrics, providing insights for optimization. Work with operation teams to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures. Provide real-time operational guidance and technical support to customers.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document all service activities, maintenance actions, and operational issues in a clear and detailed manner. Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients, summarizing findings, recommendations, and performance analyses.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support for client personnel in operating and maintaining SGT-400 systems. Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for gas turbine maintenance and operations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and operational protocols during service activities. Participate in safety audits and risk assessments related to gas turbine operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience with SGT-400 or similar gas turbine systems, focusing on field service and operational support.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills specific to gas turbine technology.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills for effective client interactions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with gas turbine control systems and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Certifications related to gas turbine technology or field service engineering are a plus.

  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and technical support to client personnel on the operation and maintenance of gas turbine control systems. Contribute to the development of training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational regulations during all field service activities. Participate in safety audits and risk assessments related to gas turbine control operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience (5+ years) in control systems for gas turbines, specifically SGT-400 or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of gas turbine control architectures, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for control system hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with control system programming, configuration, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of network communication protocols related to turbine control systems.
  • Certifications in gas turbine technology or industrial control systems are highly desirable.
